The following is the official description of the film:
"Greenskeeper Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) is about to start World War III - against a gopher. Pompous Judge Smails (Ted Knight) plays to win, but his nubile niece, Lacey Underall (Cindy Morgan), wants to score her own way. Playboy Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) shoots perfect golf by becoming the ball. And country club loudmouth Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) just doubled a $20,000 bet on a 10-foot putt. Insanity? No. Caddyshack.
Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray and Ted Knight tee off for a side-splitting round of fairway foolishness that does for golf what National Lampoon's 'Animal House' did for fraternities and 'Police Academy' did for law enforcement. With hitmaker Harold Ramis ('National Lampoon's Vacation,' 'Analyze This') in the director's chair, the virtuoso comic skills of all four blend into a riotous hole-in-one for comedy fans."
"Caddyshack" is rated R.
The cult classic "Caddyshack" finally arrives on Blu-ray. Probably the most quoted film on the planet, it is still entertaining 30 years later. The HD treatment for the film looks great and Kenny Loggins' theme sounds better than ever. There are two bonus features. The first is a new Blu-ray exclusive called "Caddyshack: The Inside Story." It is feature length and shows many of the original actors and crew reminiscing about the making of the film (sorry, no Murray or Chase). It is quite candid and they discuss the wild parties on the set, the behind the scenes fights, the fears of failure, and more. You learn about Bill Murray's extensive improvisation, Chevy Chase surprising Cindy Morgan with his own improvisations, and the last minute addition of the gopher puppet. It's a very interesting look back at the making of the movie and it's required viewing for any "Caddyshack" fan. And if that's not enough, they also have another retrospective entitled "Caddyshack: The 19th Hole".
You can't go wrong by adding "Caddyshack" to your Blu-ray collection. Pick it up!
