The Movie:
Season two of "The Transformers" rolls out on DVD. We get to see the debut of a few new Transformers such as the Aerialbots, the Stunticons, the Triple Changers, the Combaticons, and more. Omega Supreme, Powerglide, Blaster, Seaspray also get episodes that they are the spotlight of.

There are a number of epic stories that are told in this batch. "The Key to Vector Sigma" is told over two episodes. We also meet more female Transformers in "The Search for Alpha Trion." But there were certainly a few ridiculous episodes, too. In one we see the Autobots take on roles in Hollywood films. In another episode featuring Soundwave and Blaster, we see a breakdancing crew at a club called "Dancitron." In other words, this season has its high points and low points just like any other.

A few bonus features are included. You'll find some public service announcements, old Hasbro commercials, and concept art. But the highlight is "The Combiner: Forming The Transformers Animated Series." Director Earl Kress is interviewed along with some of the writers and Dan Gilvezan who played Bumblebee. They talk about the writing process, the Transformers series bible, and more. Gilvezan even gets candid when he talks about the death of Chris Latta who played Starscream. This is a featurette that Transformers fans will be interested in checking out.

Be sure to pick this one up to complete your Season Two collection. It's fun for young Transformers fans as well as older ones.
