Young actor Charlie Rowe has scored a leading role in Twentieth Century Fox's upcoming Walking with Dinosaurs, Variety reports.

Barry Cook and Neil Nightingale are attached to direct the family adventure which is said to follow two brothers on a search to find their missing father in the Arctic.

Rowe, who most recently starred in the television miniseries "Neverland," is best known for appearances in films like Pirate Radio and Never Let Me Go.

Walking with Dinosaurs is currently scheduled for a December 20, 2013 release, but that could change depending on how quickly the project moves into production.
