Hitting theaters this Friday, Parker is the latest project from director Taylor Hackford (An Officer and a Gentleman, Ray) and brings to the big screen Donald E. Westlake's literary anti-hero.

Starring as the titular Parker is Jason Statham. Although he might be a thief, Parker has his own set of values. When a heist goes wrong, Parker finds himself betrayed by his former partners and, left for dead, returns for the ultimate revenge, forming an unlikely partnership with a Palm Beach real estate agent, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez).

ComingSoon.net sat down with Statham and Michael Chiklis, who plays Melander, the leader of Parker's former teammates. Both talents talk about the unique history of the Westlake character (written under the pseudonym Richard Stark) and what it took to bring one of the more recent novels, "Flashfire," to the big screen.

Check out the video interviews in the player below and catch Parker in theaters on January 25.
