December 27, 2012

Earlier this year, SuperHeroHype had the opportunity to visit Industrial Light & Magic and speak with some of the artists behind 2012's biggest box office hit, Marvel's The Avengers. Today, ILM has released a new featurette that shows off some of the complicated effects that went into building the film's epic finale. Check it out in the player below!

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel's The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson. The third-largest box office hit of all time, The Avengers earned more than $1.5 billion worldwide. It's still-untitled sequel is slated to hit theaters on May 10, 2015.
