Olivier Megaton Set for Taking Gotham

Olivier Megaton, the man behind this year's Taken 2, has signed on to direct Taking Gotham, Deadline reports. Scripted by Thomas Kelly, the Emmett/Furla production is officially described as follows:

A secret unit of the NYPD is created in response to a string of brutal robberies in New York City. After a deadly sting operation, the elite unit is disavowed by the NYPD, forcing them to go deep underground in order to clear their names.

Megaton replaces the previously-attached Nicolai Fuglsig and will begin shooting next March.
