Robert Patrick Back for Next Season of True Blood

Deadline is reporting that Robert Patrick has signed on as a series regular on HBO's "True Blood" playing Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) father. The character was featured in three of the last four episodes of the fifth season.

Patrick appears in ABC's "Last Resort," but the network won't be producing more episodes past the thirteenth and the actor has been released from the show so that he can join "True Blood."

On the big screen, Patrick can next be seen in Gangster Squad and Identity Thief. He also stars in Lovelace, which is premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
