December 7, 2012

Alejandro Gonzalez Inaritu, the man behind films like Amores Perros, Babel and 21 Grams, is planning to try his hand at comedy, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. The writer/director's next project will be called Birdman and is co-written with Armando Bo, Alexander Dinelaris and Nicolas Giacobone.

Birdman follows an actor famous for having once played a popular superhero over a three day period during which he makes an attempt to mount a Broadway play.

Inaritu will produce alongside Robert Graf and John Lesher with production planned to begin in March of 2013.
