Anchorman: The Legend Continues may be adding another popular comedy star and "SNL" alumn to its cast. The Wrap reports that Kristen Wiig is in talks to play a new romantic interest for Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy.

Planned for release sometime next year, the sequel will again be directed by Adam McKay with actors like Steve Carell and Paul Rudd returning to their original roles.

Wiig will soon appear in Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and in Craig Johnson's The Skeleton Twins. She'll also provide voices for two major upcoming animated sequels, Despicable Me 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
