China's Crimson Typhoon is the Fifth Pacific Rim Blueprint

November 29, 2012

Yet another Jaeger blueprint from Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim is now online and you can check it out below, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies' Hong Kong site.

The website for the Pan Pacific Defense Corps was uncovered yesterday, followed quickly by the first blueprint, a set of two more blueprints, a Kaiju 'Attack' video, and then earlier today, a fourth blueprint.

In the film, legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, start rising from the sea and begin a war that would takes millions of lives and consumes humanityís resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankindís last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day and is set to be released in 2D and 3D on July 12, 2013.
