The first numbers for the North American release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 are in.

The final film in the popular franchise earned $30.4 million from Thursday 10 p.m. and Friday midnight screenings. The opening was similar to the $30.25 million earned by "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" at midnight, though that film didn't have the 10 p.m. screenings.

In comparison, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse brought in $30 million at midnight, while The Twilight Saga: New Moon earned $26.3 million its first night.

Stay tuned for more box office results as they come in this weekend.
