Vince Vaughn is set to headline Triple Time, an action thriller to be directed by Peter Billingsley, Variety reports. Billingsley co-wrote the original script with Michael J. Wilson.

Vaughn would play a U.S. Marshall who, while transporting an accused environmental terrorist to Washington DC, winds up under attack and must work alongside his captive to figure out what's really going on.

The project marks a break from comedies for the actor who recently starred in 20th Century Fox's The Watch. He can be seen coming up in The Internship and The Delivery Man.

Vaughn will produce alongside his sister, Victoria Vaughn as well as with Scott Steindorff. Peter Fruchtman, Scott LaStaiti and Dylan Russell will executive produce.
