Millennium Films Planning Its Own All-Female ExpendaBelles

If one female-driven riff on Lionsgate's The Expendables franchise wasn't enough, Deadline reports that another is in the works. Millennium Films, the company behind The Expendables and The Expendables 2 is now working on their own spinoff, to be titled ExpendaBelles. They've brought aboard Legally Blonde screenwriters McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith to provide the screenplay.

The rival project, being developed by 1984 Private Defense Contractors, is still without a title but Gina Carano and Katee Sackhoff have already joined the cast. Dutch Southern is providing the screenplay for that project.

ExpendaBelles will be produced by Mark Gill, Julie Kroll, Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel. Trevor Short will executive produce.
