Ewan McGregor to Headline Son of a Gun

Ewan McGregor has signed on to play the lead in the upcoming Australian crime thriller Son of a Gun, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Julius Avery with both write and direct, making his feature film debut in the story of a heist carried out by Australia's number one criminal.

McGregor, who recently appeared in Haywire and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, can next be seen in the true tsunami disaster tale, The Impossible.

Timothy White's Southern Light Films will produce with Aaron Gilbert executive producing through Media House Capital. Production is slated to begin early next year in Australia.
