October 8, 2012

Anne Hathaway has signed on to play the lead in The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. The script, which landed on the 2009 "Black List" of unproduced screenplays, was written by Mindy Kaling and Brent Forrester and featured the following official logline:

A single girl in Manhattan dates the hottest guy in the world but must overcome her insecurities when she hears him deny they are dating.

Hathaway starred earlier this year in The Dark Knight Rises and will headline Tom Hooper's upcoming adaptation of Les Miserables

Kaling and Forrester will executive produce alongside Joe Drake, Nathan Kahane and John Malkovich. Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith will produce.
