Winona Ryder Eyes Homefront

August 17, 2012

Winona Ryder is in negotiations to join the cast of Millennium Films' Homefront, Variety reports. She'll star opposite the previously-attached Jason Statham and the recently-announced James Franco in the Gary Fleder action thriller, drafted by Sylvester Stallone and officially described as follows:

A DEA Agent (Statham) retires to a seemingly quiet place with an underbelly of drugs and violence. When his family is threatened he is forced back into action to save his loved ones and the town.

Ryder, who will soon provide a voice in Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, will play a biker who teams with Franco's drug dealing villain.
