Warner Bros. Passes on Imitation Game

Announced for development earlier this year, Warner Bros. has decided not to move forward with Imitation Game, which J. Blakeson had planned to direct. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that the property is now available for other studios to pursue.
Based on a true story, the Graham Moore script made the 2011 "Black List" of unproduced screenplays, telling the true story of Alan Turing, the man who cracked the Enigma code during World War II. Later in life, he killed himself after being criminally prosecuted for his homosexuality.
Leonardo DiCaprio was once said to be interested in starring as Turing and the trade suggests that his lack of commitment is what ultimately lead to Warner Bros. passing on the rights.
