Latino-Themed "Cousin" to Paranormal Activity in Development

Heat Vision is reporting that Jason Blum, Oren Peli and Christopher Landon - the team behind the "Paranormal Activity" films - are joining forces again for a "Latino-themed" horror film.

The project is being described as a "cousin" to the "Paranormal Activity" series, however, it's not a sequel or a spin-off. A companion piece, perhaps...

Landon will write and direct the film, which is currently untitled.

All we know right now is that it will feature a Latino cast and the story will be rooted in a Catholic-based supernatural craziness.

The goal is to go into production this year for a possible January 2013 release.
