James Franco Chats with Real Celebrities in The Interview's Faux TV Special

It was announced last week that Seth Rogen and James Franco were kicking off VMA week with a 30-minute special hosted by Franco in-character as The Interview's entertainment journalist Dave Skylark. Titled "Dave Skylark's Very Special VMA Special," the show aired yesterday and you can now check it out in its entirety in the player below!

Featuring VMA performers Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, and VMA nominee Jason Derulo, the special has the stars subjecting themselves to the antics of the fictional celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." The special includes Franco as Skylark and Rogen as producer Aaron Rapoport, grilling each interviewee about everything ranging from derrières to the benefits of being Australian and the merits of singing one's name.

In the action-comedy The Interview, Skylark and Rapoport discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of their show and they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the most unlikely candidates, to "take out" Kim Jong-un.
