July 7, 2014
Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have set Annabelle, the feature spinoff of James Wan's The Conjuring, for release on October 3.
Starring Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton, Annabelle is directed by The Conjuring cinematographer John Leonetti from a script by Gary Gauberman. Peter Safran will produce with Wan executive producing.
The October 3 date puts Annabelle up against David Fincher's Gone Girl, the Nicolas Cage-led Left Behind and, in a limited release, The Good Lie, starring Reese Witherspoon.
