Emily Mortimer Targets Legendary's Spectral

July 7, 2014

Emily Mortimer is, according to a story at The Hollywood Reporter, in final talks to star opposite James Badge Dale in Legendary Pictures' upcoming supernatural thriller Spectral.

The script, originally written by George Nolfi from a treatment by Ian Fried, was rewritten by John Gatins and has Nic Mathieu attached to direct. It follows a special ops force that has trained in hunting the supernatural. They come up against ghosts that have taken over Manhattan.

Mortimer, who will play a CIA mission leader, currently stars on HBO's "The Newsroom."
