A big screen version of the iconic science fiction and horror anthology series The Outer Limits is on the way from MGM as The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that Doctor Strange helmer Scott Derrickson is re-teaming with his Sinister co-scribe to provide a screenplay, said to be based on Harlan Ellison's famous second season episode, "Demon with a Glass Hand."

The episode, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, stars Robert Culp as Trent, a man who wakes up with no memory and with his left hand replaced with a glass hand, missing three fingers.

Mark Victor (of Mark Victor Productions) is set to produce The Outer Limits.
