Sidney Kimmel Entertainment announced today that it will independently finance and co-produce Sleeping With Other People, an original romantic comedy written by Leslye Headland (Bachelorette), who will also direct. Word arrives from SKE President Jim Tauber and SKE President of Production Carla Hacken. Jason Sudeikis, Alison Brie, Adam Scott, Amanda Peet, Jason Mantzoukas and Natasha Lyonne are set to headline.

Sidney Kimmel will produce along with Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum of Gloria Sanchez Productions. McKay, Ferrell and Elbaum also produced Bachelorette. SKE’s Tauber and Hacken will executive produce. SKE and Gloria Sanchez Productions developed the project with Headland. The project will be the first under the banner of Gloria Sanchez Productions.

States Hacken: “We all loved Leslye’s dark, honest, and bitingly humorous film 'Bachelorette'. We appreciate how she challenges social norms with her insightful and hysterical voice and are confident she is going to do that with ‘Sleeping With Other People.’ We are excited to work with her and the whole team at Gloria Sanchez.”

IM Global will be selling international rights of the film in Cannes later this month.
