Delivery Man star Britt Robertson is set to star opposite Scott Eastwood in Fox 2000's upcoming adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' latest novel, The Longest Ride, Deadline reports. The adaptation is planned to hit theaters on April 3, 2015.

The Longest Ride, published last fall, follows two sets of lovers in two intertwining stories. The first story is told through flashbacks of a 90-year-old veteran's life and the love he has for his departed wife. The second story follows a student who falls in love with a similarly-wounded bull rider.

George Tillman Jr. is directing The Longest Ride with Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Theresa Park and Robert Teitel producing alongside Sparks.

Robertson, who also stars on "Under the Dome," can be seen coming up in Brad Bird's Tomorrowland.
