Anthony Mackie, who makes his high-flying debut next week internationally in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is in negotiations to join the cast of director John Hillcoat's Triple Nine. The news broke through Variety, arriving just two days after it was revealed that "True Detective" star Woody Harrelson had signed on as well, joining the previously-attached Aaron Paul, Teresa Palmer, Kate Winslet, Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Gal Gadot.

Featuring a screenplay by Matt Cook, Triple Nine centers on a L.A. heist in which a group of thieves plan to kill a cop (a "Code 999" in police parlance) to divert authorities from their own crime scene across town.

Bard Dorros, Steve Golin and Keith Redmon are producing through Anonymous Content with Megan Ellison financing through Panorama Media.
