Universal Pictures must like what they are seeing of Jack O'Connell in director Angelina Jolie's Unbroken, as the studio has cast the 23-year-old British actor in their upcoming spy movie Section 6.

Aaron Berg's script for the film came in at No. 2 on last year's Black List of unproduced screenplays and is described as follows:

An exploration of the formation of Great Britain's secret intelligence agencey, Military Intelligence, Section 6, known more commonly as MI6.

Lawrence Grey, who developed the script with Berg, will produce with Marc Platt and Adam Siegel of Marc Platt Productions. Jon Mone and Sara Scott will oversee the project for Universal.

O’Connell can next be seen in Warner Bros.' 300: Rise of an Empire.
