Columbia Pictures has set writer/director Cameron Crowe's still-untitled next film for release on December 25. A comedy drama, it stars Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Alec Baldwin, Jay Baruchel, Michael Chernus and Ivana Milicevic.

Although no official plot description has been released, the story is said to follow Cooper as a Hawaii-based defense contractor who has to work with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to stop the launch of a weapons satellite. In the process, the pair begin to fall for one another as they're forced to contend with supernatural island magic and a talking computer.

The release date has the film opening opposite Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Unbroken and Into the Woods.
