Star Wars Rebels Reveals New Main Character, Ezra

On the heels of revealing Kanan (voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr.) earlier this week, the upcoming "Star Wars Rebels" has now unveiled, via TV Guide, a look at another new character, Ezra (voiced by Taylor Gray). Check out a behind-the-scenes video detailing Ezra's character and creation in the player below!

Ezra is a "a charismatic teenage con artist" living on the planet Lothal who has just begun to manifest force abilities. At the onset of the story, Ezra will have little interest in the Rebellion, but will find his universe expanding when he eventually becomes the apprentice of Kanan.

Set between the events of "Episode III" and "IV" — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen - "Star Wars Rebels" takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.

The show will be produced by Lucasfilm Animation, featuring many of the key talents that made "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Set to debut this summer as a film on the Disney Channel, the full series is expected to debut this fall on Disney XD.
