Back in June, it was confirmed that production on Star Wars: Episode VII would be setting up shop at Pinewood Studios in London, continuing the tradition of the series' production in the country. Since then, rumors began to spread and were seamingly confirmed by director J.J. Abrams, that he was unhappy about the location and wanted to shoot the film in Los Angeles.

Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams' production company Bad Robot will be upgrading its L.A. facilities to accomodate at least some work on the film, including shooting and post-production. The upgrades are said to include "a green room, sound studios and other new facilities."

Set to feature a script by Michael Arndt, Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to focus on a new generation of heroes and could feature appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy. It is aiming for a 2015 release, although no specific date has yet been named.
