Jessica Alba is the latest name to join the cast of Kyle Newman's Barely Lethal. ScreenDaily reports that the Fantastic Four star will join Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson in the action comedy.

Barely Lethal follows a 16-year-old international assassin (Steinfeld) yearning for "normal" adolescence who fakes her own death and enrolls in a suburban high school. When her former-employer (Jackson) comes calling, it becomes more extracurriculars than any teenager can handle.

Alba, whose diverse upcoming includes Stuart Zicherman's comedy A.C.O.D., Joe Carnahan's microbudget actioner Stretch and both Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, will play the part of Barely Lethal's villain, a woman named Victoria Knox.

Barely Lethal will be produced by Brett Ratner, RKO and Hopscotch Pictures.
