Marlon Wayans' return to spoof comedy with this year's A Haunted House proved to be a surprise hit for fledgling distributor Open Road Films, grossing $40 million domestically and making a sequel almost inevitable.

With plans for a March 28, 2014 release date for A Haunted House 2, Wayans has been joined by three more cast including Jaime Pressly, best known for her role on NBC's "My Name is Earl" and making her first film appearance in years. Stand-up comedian Gabriel Iglesias and Ashley Rickards ("Awkward.") are the other two actors cast in the movie that will begin production on Monday.

Besides producing and co-writing the sequel with Rick Alvarez, producer of most of the Wayans' recent films, Wayans reprises his role as the ghost-afflicted Malcolm along with returning cast members Essence Atkins, Affion Crockett and Dave Sheridan with Mike Tiddes once again directing.
