Empire of the Sun to Score Dumb and Dumber To

June 24, 2013

Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun will be providing their first-ever feature film score for the Farrelly Brothers' much anticipated Dumb and Dumber To. Peter and Bobby Farrelly broke the news themselves through their official Twitter feed.

ComingSoon.net was first to break the news that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were in discussions to develop a sequel to their 1994 comedy hit and recent reports have suggested that the plot will follow Harry and Lloyd 20 years later trying to track down one of their children. Recently, Universal and Red Granite Pictures stepped in to bring the sequel to the big screen.

The original Dumb and Dumber, which featured a score by Todd Rundgren, represented one of Carrey's breakout comedy roles. The film was given a prequel in 2003 with Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, but without the creative involvement of the Farrellys.

Empire of the Sun, the combined act of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, just released their second studio album, titled "Ice on the Dune," earlier this month.

Check back for further details on Dumb and Dumber To as soon as they become available.
