Although plans for a big screen version of the hit television series "24" were put on hold last year, Deadline is now reporting that Kiefer Sutherland may reprise his Agent Jack Bauer role for a television miniseries. The actor is said to be in early talks with former showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon, who pitched a new take on the show to Fox.

Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, "24" was a production of Real Time Productions and Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Gordon, Evan Katz, Jon Cassar, Manny Coto, David Fury, Kiefer Sutherland and Brian Grazer are the executive producers. It ran for eight seasons, concluding in 2008.
