On the heels of yesterday's story, which saw the actress signing on to headline The Zookeeper's Wife, comes word via Deadline that Jessica Chastain is in talks to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's science fiction project Interstellar. She would star opposite Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.

Directed and written by Nolan, Interstellar is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan of Syncopy Films and Obst of Lynda Obst Productions. Kip Thorne will executive produce.

Interstellar will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding. The movie hits theaters on November 7, 2014.

Chastain, who recently appeared in the supernatural thriller Mama, is also set to star in Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak.
