August: Osage County director John Wells is in talks to helm the upcoming comedy Chef, Deadline reports. The film, which is set to star Bradley Cooper and Omar Sy, is not to be confused with the Jon Favreau project of the same name.

From screenwriter Steven Knight, Chef tells the story of a once-famous chef who, after losing his prized restaurant in Paris, attempts to make a comeback with a new place in London.

In addition to the upcoming August: Osage County, Wells is best known as a writer and producer, working on television series like "ER," "The West Wing," and "Shameless".

The news comes on the heels of word that Cooper will next team with Steven Spielberg for American Sniper. Chef would head into production after that project wraps.
