Though it's not a huge surprise given their friendship, EW has confirmed that writer-director Neill Blomkamp and star Sharlto Copley will reteam for a third science fiction feature film, Chappie.

Detail's on Chappie's plot are few, but it is said to mix in a comedy element and boasts an "unusual setting."

Blomkamp and Copley first worked together on 2009's District 9. Their next, Elysium, hits theaters on August 9. Copley can also be seen coming up in Sebastian Cordero's Europa Report, Spike Lee's Oldboy and Robert Stromberg's Maleficent.
