Last month, word broke that David Ayer was set to write and direct his own original World War II spec script, Fury, through QED International. Today, Deadline reports that Ayer has landed a leading man in Brad Pitt.

The film is said to follow a five-man American tank crew in Europe in the final days of the war.

Pitt, who starred last year in Killing Them Softly, can soon be seen in World War Z, hitting theaters June 21.

John Lesher is attached to produce Fury with production targeted for this fall.
