SuperHeroHype reports that theaters are planning to offer an "Iron Man Marathon" on May 2nd! Included in the line-up will be Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Marvel's The Avengers (2012), and then Iron Man 3 will begin screening at 9 p.m. on May 2nd. It looks like the marathon will start at 1 p.m.

Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios should be announcing the participating theaters soon. Will you check out the full marathon or will you just go see Iron Man 3?

The anticipated third installment pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley and Wang Xuequi star in the Shane Black-directed film.
