The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Alan Ritchson will play Raphael in Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, reports Deadline. He'll be playing the character using performance capture opposite Megan Fox in the female lead.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the action adventure is scheduled to hit theaters on June 6, 2014. Michael Bay is producing the film.

In "Catching Fire," Ritchson plays Gloss, a former Career tribute from District 1. Gloss and his sister Cashmere are both competing in the Quarter Quell. Ritchson also played Aquaman on The CW's "Smallville."
