Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who make their big screen directorial debut with the upcoming apocalyptic comedy This is the End, are set to take on a new comedy with Columbia Pictures. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the pair will take on The Interview from their own screenplay with Rogen starring and James Franco potentially signing on as well.

Based on a story by Goldberg, Rosen and Dan Sterling, The Interview follows a talk show host and producer pair who find themselves caught up in an assassination attempt against the political leader of North Korea.

Rogen, who recently starred in The Guilt Trip, can soon be seen on the big screen in the aforementioned This is the End and in the Nicholas Stoller comedy Townies.
