Kristen Wiig is eyeing the leading role in an original comedy called Welcome to Me. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the Gary Sanchez Productions pair of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are producing (along with Jessica Elabum) with Fully Loaded director (and McKay's own wife) Shira Piven set to helm.

Scripted by Eliot Laurence, the film follows a woman with multiple personality disorder who, after winning the lottery, takes over a cable access show to tell the story of her life.

Wiig is currently working with both Ferrell and McKay, starring in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Now filming in Atlanta, Georgia, the Paramount Pictures film will hit theaters December 20.
