Harrison Ford Optimistic About Star Wars: Episode VII

March 19, 2013

It's been heavily rumored for some time that Harrison Ford would be among the original Star Wars cast members returning for J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII and, today, WGN (via Star Wars Report) caught up with the actor and learned that he's as excited as anyone at the prospect of appearing in the new film.

"I'm looking forward to it," he says "…I think it’s going to happen."

At age 70, Ford is still going strong at the movies, having recently starred in Cowboys & Aliens and set for upcoming appearances 42, Ender's Game, Paranoia and Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. J.J. Abrams will direct the film from a script by Michael Arndt. Disney and Lucasfilm are planning a new trilogy with a new movie coming every other year.
