Open Road Films has released the first clip from director Andrew Niccol's The Host, the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel, starring Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, William Hurt and Frances Fisher. Check it out in the player below, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.

When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, Melanie Stryder (Ronan) will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about - Jared (Irons), Ian (Abel), her brother Jamie (Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (Hurt), proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world.

The Host hits theaters March 29.
