A lot of the news lately about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been mostly about stars Andrew Garfield and Shailene Woodley, so what about Emma Stone? The actress spoke to Cineplex Magazine about the upcoming sequel and praised the film's script.

"I'm in it, Andrew is in it, they just cast Dane Dehaan as Harry Osborn who is such a great actor. And Shailene Woodleyas Mary Jane, who's also wonderful. So there's all that and the script is very, very good. I'm very much looking forward to it.

"I'm very happy that our first one was received so well, it'll be cool in the next one to see how Gwen and Peter bridge that distance that was between us at the end of it. I think the way it all unfolds is pretty neat. And I hope they continue letting Gwen be heroic, I think they might!"

We've yet to see any set photos of Stone on the set of the film, here's hoping that changes soon.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Also starring Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Sally Field and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2, 2014.
