Craig Brewer to Direct The Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills

Craig Brewer is set to write and direct Paramount Pictures' upcoming The Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills, Deadline reports. The film is based on a 2012 Rolling Stone article by Sabrina Rubin Erdely that you can read in its entirety by clicking here.

The film follows the true story of Lisette Lee, a drug mule who faked her way into Hollywood fame and fortune by pretending to be an actress, model and heiress.

Brewer, whose previous directing projects include Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan and Footloose, is also writing Warner Bros.' upcoming Tarzan with David yates attached to helm.

Erwin Stoff is attached to produce The Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills.
