Sheila Vand Joins Beverly Hills Cop

February 21, 2013

CBS' upcoming "Beverly Hills Cop" has added its first female cast member in Argo star Sheila Vand, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Vand, who played the recurring role of Courtney on "Prom Queen," will play a detective named Leila. Vand joins a cast that includes Brandon T. Jackson, David Denman and Kevin Pollak.

The hour-long series, which Shawn Ryan will co-write and executive produce, will be a continuation of the three movies that ran from 1984 to 1994, and Eddie Murphy will at least appear in the pilot, reprising his role as the wisecracking detective Axel Foley, who Jackson's character Aaron is trying to get out from under his shadow as he takes on the criminal element of Beverly Hills.
