Jason Bateman, who stars in this Friday's Identity Thief, has signed on for New Line Cinema's ensemble comedy Game Night, Deadline reports.

The original comedy pitch arrives from Mark Perez and his tale follows a group of couples that meet every week to play board games. One evening, however, something goes wrong and the night becomes an all-too-real murder mystery.

Bateman is also set to produce alongside Jim Garavente, John Davis and John Fox.
