Written and directed by Ralph Kinnard, best known for directing A Mi Me Gusta, and starring Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds, follows three couples as they navigate the biggest international art fair in Miami fighting, making up and possibly switching partners, with Reynolds acting as narrator. Reynolds, who will receive the key to the city of Valdosta Georgia as part of their “Burt Reynolds Day” celebration on July 12th, plays a wealthy and extravagant art dealer in the film, which takes advantage of Miami’s famed beaches, city streets and the Florida everglades to enhance its cinematography with the city’s trademark flair.

Kinnard added to the realism of the film by using pieces from local Miami artists like Danilo Gonzales and Gustavo Fernandez, as well as many other up and coming artists whose work is often seen in Miami’s trendy Wynwood Arts district. The film’s inspiration for the international art fair was Miami’s famed “Art Basel”, the biggest art fair in the Western World.

Miami Love Affair has been making the festival rounds, having been screened at the at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Cityflix International Film Festival Toronto, Singapore Independent Film Festival, and the Nice Film Fest International. Reynolds has been working steadily recently, having made four movies in 2017 alone. He’s next set to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
