Ryan Reynolds Reveals New Deadpool 2 Art Featuring Cable

Ryan Reynolds has revealed a new piece of promo art for the upcoming Deadpool 2 in the style of Michelangelo’s 16th century painting, The Creation of Adam. The title for this piece would seemingly be “The Creation of Deadpool,” but we can all be glad that the Merc with a Mouth kept his spandex on. Check it out in the gallery below!

Reynolds also reacted to the just-announced sale of 20th Century Fox to The Walt Disney Company with a tweet saying:

The synopsis for the sequel offers very little information about the film, but reads as follows: “After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Ryan Reynolds is reprising his role as the Merc with a Mouth alongside Zazie Beetz as the luck-manipulating mutant Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable, the time-traveling son of the X-Men’s Cyclops. Jack Kesy (The StrainBaywatch) is attached to play the film’s central villain, which, while unconfirmed, is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy. Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna and Julian Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) have also joined the film in mystery roles.
