Stephen King Talks Facing Evil in IT Featurette

In the unlikely event that you didn’t go see Warner Bros. and New Line’s IT this weekend, and since it debuted to a record-setting box office of $123.1 million that’s probably not many of you, the studio has released a new featurette for the film featuring author Stephen King talking about the work. When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

New Line Cinema‘s IT stars Bill Skarsgård as the story’s central villain, Pennywise the clown. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip), Sophia Lillis (37), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s Stranger Things), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming Cops and Robbers), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales of Halloween) and Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic). The film is directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama) from a script by Chase Palmer & Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman.

No official word has been made about the follow-up film to IT, however a sequel will likely be confirmed by the studio in the coming days.
